Practicing Alignment in an AI World
A Free 90-Minute Reflective Workshop
Thursday, March 27, 2026 at 12:00pm PT
Artificial intelligence is reshaping creative, professional, and institutional life at an extraordinary pace.
Some feel energized.
Some feel resistant.
Many feel both.
This workshop is not a technical training.
It is not a debate.
It is not an evangelism session.
It is a space to slow down and ask a deeper question:
How do we stay aligned — creatively, ethically, and relationally — in a rapidly changing technological landscape?
-
This session is for artists/creatives, activists, educators, researchers, and leaders who:
Want to experiment with AI without outsourcing their discernment
Feel tension between acceleration and integrity
Are navigating creative or ethical complexity
Are looking for thoughtful, grounded conversation rather than hype or panic
No prior AI experience is required.
-
In this 90-minute live workshop, we will:
Name the core tensions shaping AI in creative and professional spaces
Introduce a simple alignment framework for discerning when to say yes, no, or not yet
Explore alignment practices I shared in my presentation for AI for the Rest of Us
Demonstrate three ways AI can be used to clarify — not dilute — your thinking
Including:
Idea Prototyping Without Collapse
Exploring possibilities while preserving complexity and authorshipScenario Mapping for Ethical Foresight
Imagining aligned, compromised, and avoidant futures before making decisionsNervous System Co-Regulation
Using AI as a reflective mirror to reconnect to values rather than outsource judgmentThere will be reflection, conversation, and space to experiment thoughtfully.on text goes here

This workshop centers discernment.
It is not:
A productivity tutorial
A prompt engineering masterclass
A space for technical deep dives
It is a space to think carefully about how — and whether — to integrate AI into your work.
-
Over the past year, I’ve been exploring AI from an alignment lens.
Not as a blanket endorsement.
Not as a wholesale rejection. But as a question:
What does it mean to remain ethical, relational, and self-trusting while engaging powerful tools?
This workshop is an invitation into that inquiry.
